….On offer is a amazing, very original super solid, no rust Volkswagen Baywindow 1972, this was imported by myself last year from USA Washington and is a rust free, super solid gem. Very rare to find this model in this condition. Useable and ready to drive away and go camping. This camper has the Riveria camping conversion which originated from a small company in Washington (still going today?) this van has slept 5, two above, two below and my little lad in a hammock over the front seats…….Brilliant!!!!! As you can see its a very brilliant white which was freshly painted below leaving the States, all the roof gutters painted and in great condition as is all of the van, i did a small repair the front window sill as water was getting into the van and small repair RH front floor, all correct metal was used as supplied by Just Kampers. When the van arrived the only problem area was the engine, 1700 type 4, which was misfiring and leaking oil through the pistons, so instead of messing around it was swapped with a 1600cc twinport new’ish from VW Hertiage. The Riveria has some history from the states, everything has been paid (Import Duties) and registered here in the UK. As this is the very popular cross over type 2 model, beneftting from under graded servo disc brakes and old style looks of the low light indicators, which will sleep 5, not like the cramped Westfalia. As you are aware these Campervan are a great investment for the future and now…….. see how many smiles and waves from the kids and adults alike!!!! There is wear on the front seat corners down to the packing in the usual places with a small hole in the passenger seat, the dash has been cut for a stereo and rev counter and oil temp, a bit messy but easily rectified. There is a slight dent near the LH rear wheel arch but it is not very noticable. It has a roof rack fitting mounts on the roof which are very hard to find.New cabin black carpet and the gear bushes have been replaced and a short shift mount has been installed, it now shifts brilliantly . The interior was manufactured by Westfalia which is rare and the is great fittings like a mirror in the cupboards. This is a solid camper, but as with all old ladies does show signs of some wear. Please come and have a look and a cup of tea??? this has to go as extension costs are getting too high!!! I know how much these campervan will go for and I have several people locally quite interested, so it may be removed at any time….first come. ….0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Early, early bay window 1968 Westfalia Camper. This is a very solid bus, Being so early (April 1968) it still has Splitscreen features. It has recently undergone a sympathetic restoration, all panels are solid as is the chassis and underside. Tax exempt, MOT September 2015. The interior was altered by the last owners to suit their needs, so it is still a blank canvas for the next owner, the wardrobe was removed to create a full width double bed, the wardrobe was then turned into a buddy seat containing a portapotti, very handy, they had also fitted a very large fridge freezer, therefore the two westy vents on the side This bus has been the real adventure bus, the previous owners lived in San Diego, when they retired they drove this 68 to Alaska, then all the way to the southern tip of Argentina back up through Brazil then shipped it to Holland and drove to as many countries in Europe in six months as they could manage, this is one of the reasons I bought it apart from its rareness and condition. It has a 1776cc engine with dual 34 weber carbs, a Vintage Speed stainless steel Tuck Tail exhaust (lifetime guarantee) JK cover, period front and rear fog lights, engine cut off switch, new hammock for over the front seats, all cavities have been Waxoyled, Tinted front screen (fitted in Peru) rear seat belts fitted, each door has an extra interior lock bolts fitted so it was more secure while in the rainforests of south America, one key fits all doors (not ignition).I have purchased NEW carpets, vinyl, rear panels(ready for upholstery) these are not fitted as I am still using the bus, and I do not want to get them dirty, also the original Basket weave rear R&R seat cover is under the replacement upholstery, original roof canvas and mosquito nets, mosquito nets fitted to the louvre windows, while I have owned the bus I have made sure all the necessary ongoing maintenance was kept on top of, which is a part of owning a classic vehicle, (they are never finished) the fact is this will keep the value on the up, the Fact is if it does not sell this year it Will be more expensive next year and so on. It has recently had an engine strip and rebuild, and full service, my wife and I were planning to drive to the toe of Italy (and back) for our holiday this year so this is ready to go. Enthusiasts will know how good this vehicle is, a little bit of research will show you this bus is good value, therefore I will not be accepting silly offers below the starting price. Ideally it would be great if you were able to see and drive the bus before bidding (located in St Leonards), also this Bay window will be advertised elsewhere and could be withdrawn from Ebay at any time. all questions welcome 07766 712424 Roger Good luck FROM THE FIRST BID IT’S SELLING!!!!!!!

….This is my 1969 VW Bay camper van. I bought it this summer feeling sorry for it sitting there with no home, no tax and no MOT. When I got her home, the first thing I did was to give her a wash and brush up. Then after checking the oil, filling her up with petrol and putting a battery on her, I fired her up soon to turn her off to renew the leaking petrol pipes and filter. Then I tried again not failing to notice the racket coming from the rotten exhaust, so I put a new one on her. Whilst doing this I saw that the heat exchangers were disconnected because they were leaking, so I replaced them with new ones, connected them up with new pipe and started her up again. Now we have a quieter running engine and interior heating. Then we changed the slave cylinders and brake shoes on the rear wheels, put four tyres on her and took her for an MOT which she passed. We then changed the door cards and fitted some storage space, fitted new carpets and vinyl floor covering and changed the seat belts for new ones. She has a full width rock n roll bed and the sliding roof works ok. We took her out for a weekend trip to the Brighton Breeze the beginning of October, 200 mile round trip and she really enjoyed it. All she needs now is a name and a new home, as I have achieved what I set out to do, give her a new lease of life. Thanks for listening.

….Welcome to the re-homing of my beloved Stowfe, a 1978 VW campervan. I have genuine reasons for selling her and if it wasnt for significant changes in my circumstances she would remain part of the family. She’s orange in colour and has had her sliding door replaced this summer. This does need re-spraying as do a couple of surface rust patches. A local VW specialist garage quoted about £400 to get this done and if I had the money I would do it and restore her to her former glory. I have taken this into consideration and lowered the asking price accordingly. Please don’t be put off by her slightly scruffy exterior, she’s a solid and straight van with 8 months mot (only about 13,000 miles over the last 4 years) and has no advisories. She also comes with 4 months road tax included. Her pop top was removed by a previous owner and a rag top installed instead. This is awesome in the summer and amazing for star gazing in bed! However i believe the placements are still intact if the pop top is to be reinstated. Inside she has a westfalia interior with a rock n roll bed, a gas cooker, sink and ample storage space. When I moved to Cornwall I lived in her for 4 months, she’s very dry and warm! She has a new battery, brakes, fuel lines and had a full service before her mot. I am being as honest as I can but please remember she is About 36 years old so is not perfect! However she is reliable, great fun to drive (left hand drive) and has a real zest for life. I have no doubt she will add fun and laughter to your life as she has done for me. Viewing can take place in Cornwall, I require a deposit to secure her and full payment of the outstanding balance on collection. If you have any questions please get in touch and I’ll do my best to answer them. Thanks for looking, Helen 07925 980062.
