New MOT!

….VW Camper Bay Window 1974 Devon I have owned the capmer for around 4 years but unfortunatly it has had very little use so I need to sell it. It has just had the engine fully reconditioned from the bottom end up, runs very smoothly with plently of power and starts every time without fail. It passed its MOT only a couple of weeks ago so is ready to go! The van has the ‘Rock and Roll’ bed, pop top with no leaks and the original cooker which is on hinges so you can swing it outside the van. It has not been heavily modified so is more or less as standard. As you would expect for a van of this age it has all the usual wear and tear. INTERIOR IS ALL ORIGINAL ASIDE FROM NEW FLOOR AND NEW CURTAINS. POPTOP IS IN GOOD ORDER. GEARCHANGE IS SHARP AND PRECISE AS IS THE STEERING CAB AREA IS LOVELY AND INCLUDES FLOORLESS ORIGINAL BASKET WEAVE FRONT SEATS. ….Up for sale is 1971 VW Devon Moonraker Campervan, tax exempt, right hand drive 1600 replacement Vege engine,11k since. Unleaded manual. Brakes updated to discs, clutch replaced, more recently heat exchangers replaced. Four owners only, MOT to Feb 2011. Full service history. Newly resprayed, Devon conversion all original fixtures & fittings. Double gas burner & grill, in swing out unit. Circular stainless steel sink, swing tap and hand pump, original cooler. Devon vertical pop-up roof and vent pop up. Original driver & passenger seats, four seat belts. Original child’s hammock, bed below can be arranged in different positions. Two period awnings. Cover to spare wheel to inside rear. New external cover. Leisure battery with charging gauge. Blossom is RHD, she has been re-stored externally over the last year, and looking gorgeous, prior to this she had her engine replaced for a new Vege 1600 and fittings all replaced to fit new engine, (brakes updated to disks prior to us owning, 4 owners and we have had her 5 years), which has done approx 11k since, she runs very smoothly, we have also replaced the clutch. New heat exchangers (awaiting one cable). MOT Feb 2011, recently serviced. She has one original children’s bunk, the Moonracker has multiple ways of setting out the double or single beds, with original brochure and manuals. She also has two period canvas awnings. All original fittings, dble hob, grill in swing out unit (with hood & gas) for summer use. Original circular sink with hand pump, cooler beneath. Tons of storage in Moonraker’s layout, L shape gives you more room. All seats have storage under, two seat belts to rear (one lap). Draws behind rear seat cushions, can also be accessed from rear door. Wardrobe unit and over head storage cupboards, also housing original table, new leisure battery, charging gauge and fan settings. THIS CAMPER HAS HAD A NEW ENGINE WHEN IT WAS RESTORED . I TALKED TO THE LADS AT MANCHESTER AIR COOLED AND THEY TOLD ME THEY FIT BRAND NEW ENGINES NOT RECONDITIONED . THEY DID SAY ITS A 1600 SPORT ENGINE THEN THEY DO LOADS TO IT TO MAKE IT BETTER THEY DID START TO GO INTO DETAILS FOR ME BUT IT WENT STRAIGHT OVER MY HEAD. IT STARTS PERFECT FIRST TIME EVERY TIME AND RUNS VERY WELL . WE WILL BE PUTTING A BRAND NEW MOT ON IT THIS WEEK AS THE OLD ONE RUNS OUT NEXT MONTH. IT HAS GOT A VERY LOUD SOUND SYSTEM WITH SPEAKERS EVERYWHERE AND A BIG AMP UNDER ONE OF THE SEATS. THIS IS VERY USEABLE AND LOOKS AMAZING WE GOT LOADS OF LOOKS WHEN WE WENT FOR A TEST DRIVE IN IT.
