….Hi. I’ve not sold on here for a while but unfortunately it’s time to sell my beloved (if a little neglected) camper. First thing to take on board before buying one of these is that they can be fairly expensive to run. Please bare this in mind before bidding. I say this as i’m off to Mexico (hence the 1p start price with no reserve) and i really want to get this sold and sorted before i leave. It’s been sat up at the side of my parents house and it’s not fair to them or the neighbours who need access to the garages. I’m not a car dealer and this is my own personal camper. I’m currently living in Bristol and the camper is at my parents house in Weymouth. Viewing is more than welcome. Just give me a call so i can arrange for someone to be around. Obviously i will come down from Bristol to sort out the paper work etc with the eventual buyer. Ok i shall start by listing the bad points: As the photo shows the frame under the rear window needs welding as a small amount of water is getting in (the rear window covers are present. I photographed without them on to show the extent of the rusting). The base has had a great welding job but the front section is in need of welding now as shown in the photo’s as rust has started to creep in under the carpeted area and is severe in some areas. The rubber seals need replacing on the rear window as a small amount of water is creeping in here too and you can probably see the staining on the wood in the interior. The same can be said of the rubber seals at the base of the window on the front passenger and driver doors. A toad alarm has been fitted and this drains the battery. Easily remedied by removing the alarm but seeing as i spent the money on the alarm i can’t bring myself to do this so shall leave it to the buyer. Ok now for the good points The engine is really sound and since my neglect and living up in Bristol she still starts 99% of time first time no trouble. It has an electronic push button start. I took her out for a drive and she’s still a great drive. LHD is daunting for about the first 10 minutes but you soon get used to it. Engine has been completely refurbished and only just over 500 miles have been clocked up on the new engine The pop top is absolutely water tight. All breaks, lights etc are absolutely sound and were fitted at the last MOT over a year ago. Although i have not been around to put this through the MOT i am confident that the welding is the only thing holding this back from passing. When i had the base welded it was tarred/waxed so should last a lifetime. The bodywork is very straight with no dents as shown I gutted the camper with every intention of fitting a new interior but all that was halted since moving up here. There are a load of materials including rock and roll bed, folding brackets, 2 bunks, new wing mirrors, coverings etc. This is essentially a blank canvas but i definitely recommend getting the welding under the rear windows sorted before fitting any interior.
