….hi there, this is Herman the German. he’s a good solid van that was imported a few years back and has since been treated to a light restoration so is in very tidy condition. there are a few bubbles and dings here and there but nothing structural at all. overall a very presentable 4 birth camper. Being a german imported van, it has not been subjected to the heavy welding that most UK vans have. The 2l type 4 engine pulls very well and is great for motorway cruising. The interior re-trim was done by Graham dean and still looks great. Lowered one spline so it sits well and drives comfortably. ….Welcome to my auction of VW WESTFALIA CONTINENTAL 1973 TAX EXEMPT BAY WINDOW CAMPER, in stunning condition with full Westy interior in fantastic condition, this van has had thousands spent on it so I will start with a list of the jobs that have been done. New rear corners. New battery tray. New inner and outer sills New floor. New jacking points. New doors and tailgate from FBI, rust free. New bumpers. New window rubbers. New front panel and around windscreen All rusty panels replaced. Solid van, under sealed. Resprayed in Old English White over Vapour Blue, all VW colours. Tastefully and sensibly lowered with wider wheels at the back with banded tyres on original steel VW wheels to keep the van original and also helps stability and ride when on the road. New engine from The Engine Shop in Kent at 35000 miles in 2007, clock is now showing 46700 so thats only 11000 on the engine. JVC cd player with new speakers x4. New upholstered interior in a lovely check material that is very fitting to the westy style. The interior is in very good condition with 2 ring gas hob, sink, cooler fridge, FULL SIZE ROCK N ROLL bed, very big and comfy, loads of cupboard space, pop top with room for 2 to sleep. Built in roof rack. We have owned the van for 2 years and all the work has been done by NEWDUBS of North Wales to a very high standard, the van needs nothing doing to it and is stunning lovely condition. Electronic ignition and coil fitted, new leads, plugs, oil and filter, fuel filter fitted, all done only a few months ago. I have a history file full of receipts, MOT’s, tax discs, photos etc, one key fits all locks and I have a spare as well, MOT until 21st of July 2012. The van is totally reliable, it has never let us down and we have been to France, Belgium, and all over the UK with no problems at all. The van will come with a Royal Traveller 3 drive away awning that gives you loads more space when camping. This is a very reluctant sale due to a new project on the go.
