….For Sale is my beloved 1965 VW Type 1 Camper. The bus is from Portugal and I’m the 4rd owner. It was build to a camper in the end of the sixties by the first owner at Portugal. The body is in a fair condition, because it is warm and dry in the south of europe. There are a few rust spots around the car and the interieur became wet when water flow through the topwindow. So it needs some tlc in and outside and a full restauration. There are safari-windows. The front seats are in a verry good condition. There is a Camping-Toilette and a little cooker. There are three large beds and a third seat. Engine and transmition are strong and starts on its first turn. I have all the history and the names from the past owners. There is a new Gas-check on the bus. Also I have a few bills of changed parts. The verry low milage should be true. On the bus, there is no MOT and Tax. It is located in Germany near Frankfurt/Main. If you come with ryan-air to Frankfurt-Hahn or with Fly-be to Frankfurt/Main, I could pick you up at the airport to look buy or take the car. Maybe I could deliver to vanfest, if the reserve is met. From the Volkswagen-Service at Wolfsburg I get these informations: Build: 21.12.1965 came out of factory: 28.12.1965 delivered to: Portugal as: Panelvan with: Safari-Windows I would take the bus by trailer to england or elswere… its more safe. ….I cant believe im doing this……. Up for grabs is my beloved splitscreen camper due to cash flow problems. As you see from the pics she is in good usable condition and is ready to go camping. There are some small surface rust areas that i have covered with a rust inhibitor primer to stop it spreading. I recently bought a new rear valence section as the old one had been cut out by the previous owner. this can be simply bolted into place but will need a slight adaption to it because of the twin exhaust system. she sounds great when she is running too.
