….Bought form http://vwkampers.com/ two years ago. She was bought having been restored only a few months earlier and fitted with a reconditioned engine. She is the same as when we bought here, except: 1. An extra 6,000 miles on the engine.2. Fitted curtains (vwcampercurtains.co.uk)3. Tracker (required for insurance). The tracker contract is transferable with five months remaining.4. Some rust below the nearside, rear light5. Some bubbling of paint along the bottom of the passenger side door. The only problems she has had are a cracked distributor cap (now replaced) and was initially unreliable to start, but I fitted a relay. I have a few extras that I am happy to include, which are: 1. Spare radio (purchased by mistake)2. Petronix Ignitor Kit, electronic timing (not fitted yet)3. New alternator, which I bought when someone told me the starting problem (see above) was an alternator issue. Currently located in Ottery St Mary, but could also be available in Petersfield (where I work) for a serious buyer.

rock solid bus, awning, smev. low and ready to go

….For sale is my stunning 1977 vw bay window camper, DVLA registered as a motorhome, its got an absolutley solid shell and chassis, no rust in excellent condition inside out, its an ex swedish airport crew firebus imported by VW Relics in 2006 as a solid shell, since then its had a fortune spent on it, 2ltr reconditioned engine twin carbs yellow tinware, push button start, new interior and a full respray last year, the only welding i had done is 2 new sills, 1 inner sill, lower rear arches, this van was solid,i have pictures of the bodywork before it was painted all the usual places they go were solid.this bus also had its original paint, doors and panels before i had it done (i know maybe i shouldnt of touched it but im glad i had it done) im guessing this bus has had very little use before being imported to the UK, minimal mileage due to just being used on the airfields etc.. the bus has been lowered using red 9 design spin plates, it also has a narrowed front beam, with adjustable shocks, black empi alloy wheels, yokohoma tyres, scat quick shift gears, porsche seats.nicely trimmed cab area, cd player,amp and 6×9 speakers sounds great. the bus is very low but has fully adjusble suspension so can be raised if not to your liking sound proofing and insulated, the interior is finished in a light oak colour with a full width bluebird rocknroll bed, buddy seat which folds out to be a double seat and also stows away a smev 2 hob gas cooker which folds out of the buddy seat into a locked position, overhead cupboard, 12v sockets and 240v hook up. 12v lighting, leisure battery. its trimmed in a retro 2 tone brown and biscuit fabric. also retro cushions and curtains, new roof lining. table, plus fold out shelf. this bus runs sweet, plenty of poke the gears are nice and tight and easy to select not like stirring porridge like most. took it to the back to basics vw weekend last year and picked up a tropthy in the show and shine, 1 of the best 5 concourse dubs. there is some play in the steering but i have a brand new steering box to go with the bus. it will also come with a brown retro 70′s awning with tassles in excellent condition, retro roof rack and old trunk.. currently sorn with 6 months mot. but i will be happy to put 12months mot and 6months tax on it if i get a reasonable offer on it. loads of history/receipts. i would just like to add im really torn in 2 selling this bus, but i could do with the money, please no silly offers, the bus needs nothing just a new home.. all ready for the summer to go camping! please come and view the bus if your interested to see for yourself im open to reasonable offers. please contact for more details or more pictures if your interested please no timwasters.. located near Birmingham airport/nec call Rich on 07779 149702 thankyou for looking Rich ive added more pictures of before respray, sills arches, a posts, battery trays and interior etc.. click on the links below http://s406.photobucket.com/albums/pp148/dickiefree/swedish%20bay%202/ http://s406.photobucket.com/albums/pp148/dickiefree/vw%20swedish%20bay/
