VW T25 / T3 Westfalia Campervan

….For sale is our 1989 1.6 td JX VW T3 The camper sleeps 4 people, two up top and two on rock and roll bed in the bottom. The camper is very rare with Westfalia equipment but was converted by Reimo, allowing for best of both a high top and pop top. When just two away in the camper, there is no requirement to raise the roof as plenty of headroom and access to storage above front seats. When with the children, we simple pop the roof up and gain a huge space for them both. There are sleeping two cushions up top with matching upholstery to the lower sets/cushions. It has an LPG gas tank that suppliers the fridge and 2 gas burners and also has a BBQ point so to connect your gas BBQ. The LPG tank/valves were serviced in Germany with a clean bill of health for a number of years, the certificate is present [as is a legal requirement in Germany] and it is safely fixed within the lockable side unit that is to the rear near side of the van. Fresh and grey water tanks to underside of van with a new water tap fitted and new pipes. three sets of keys Large 3 way fridge that runs from gas/240 and 12v battery, with internal light A catalytic converter has been fitted to the camper reducing the emissions that allowed the camper to enter German cities as older diesel vehicles are now prohibited from doing so. Passenger seat swivels with the additional small side seat making an L shape rear seating area [a button is missing from the main rear seat]. both seats have adjustable arm rests. Power steering Front spot lights Double glaze window units Heaters are in great working order [one small cap to the flow switch is missing]. Upgraded smoked glass front and rear lights [inc. integrated fog light – I forgot German vehicles did not have the fog light when I put the camper in for its MOT – all done now though]. The pop top opens to the front and to the sides and has clear viewing sections should they be desired. Fully waterproof although a couple of repairs have been carried out as can be seen on one of the photos. The camper has very nice white alloy wheels with tyres that are almost brand new, they look really good with the camper. There is loads of paperwork with the camper including the original service book with stamps from VW throughout its life as shown in photographs, with paperwork for a new head that was fitted when engine was reconditioned a few years back. The camper has covered about 157k miles from new. The van has had two owners from new in Germany and I purchased it from a classic Mercedes car specialist near Frankfurt in Germany. The condition of the body work in my opinion is excellent for a vehicle of almost 30yrs old although there is a little bubbling on a couple of seems and beneath a window, and marks/blemished here and there, but still looks great. I wanted to mention that when the van has been running I get a couple of oil drips but then nothing else and there are no leaks when left stationary, I think it may need the seal to the crankshaft replacing [so someone mentioned] but it has never been an issue for us. You are welcome [and would prefer you doing so] to view the camper so please do drop me a line or send a message through Ebay. 07701 328546 Cash on collection or bank transfer please, no Paypal [only because of the fees]. The camper is sold as seen with no warranty, exchange/refund etc.

VW T2 Bay camper van 1972

….I bought this some time ago as a fill in between jobs. It came all in bits and had been at a specialist who closed down. The chap tried to get it finished elsewhere but gave up and sold it and then I had it.A lot of panels had been fitted but not fully welded which I have done and I’ve had to weld the chassis. The bodywork has been done and painted. It has a camper lifting roof which has also been painted.I’m selling it as a project for someone to put it all back togetherAnd customise it to their taste. It doesn’t particularly need any specialist work on it if your fairly handy.Engine was apparently very good when it taken off the road.It would make a nice vehicle with a bit of hard work and money.I will be happy to answer any queries or questions.

vw late bay window viking poptop ’75 campervan mechanically good welding project

….It is with a heavy heart that i have to part ways with Paws. She is incredibly special to me and helped pull me through dark, hard times but sadly it is time for her to find a new loving home as realistically my health is not going to allow me to do what is necessary to restore her anytime soon and she deserves to be out and about enjoying herself and it would be more practical for me to get a vehicle more suited to my health needs to improve my daily quality of life. Driving her puts a massive smile on my face, in fact just sitting in her does. I know they say money can’t buy happiness but that its more comfy to cry in a mercedes than on a bicycle, well its hard to cry at all in a vw campervan … they just ooze happy vibes and you are transported to happy places. I’ve dry stored her the whole time she’s been with me (and have found no evidence of mice or rats having been in her), until getting her out to wash ready for sale, so the elements haven’t been at her since. She is a welding project so please take that into account. When i got her she was mechanically sound and so shouldn’t be much problem in that regard just shes been sat a while (not wanting to turn over) so no problem for someone with some mechanics knowledge or better health than me to understand the haynes manual and our first journey together was a 160 mile jaunt and my first time driving a vehicle older than me. With that in mind she may be the perfect project for someone who prefers welding to mechanics but has a hand in at both or willing to learn. I’ve wire brushed back to shiny metal, rust treated, primed in rust beater and painted in rust inhibiting paint all the internal floor areas (with exception of the holes in the load floor which i have the replacement panel for just needs welding in – would be an ideal learning piece as the floor won’t been seen once she’s fitted out). I started on the front interior so the passenger seat cover has been taken apart carefully to use as a template so could be sewn back together or used as a template whichever you wish, the seat pads are in very good nick and very comfy. I also recovered the sun visors in the orange vinyl (i have a pair of original white if you prefer). I have several drawings of the planned interior if you would like inspiration (beautifully curved kitchen and seat to bed arrangement) or a starting point to design your own… remember the world is your oyster with how to fit out these beautiful vehicles. She is a project and needs welding work to pass her mot (i bought her in november 2012 with an MOT and she failed her 2013 MOT on welding but my health and the long local specialist garage waiting list meant i couldn’t get her welded up and had to sorn her instead). But as i’m sure you all know these vans are getting more not less valuable and less abundant and fully done up are worth a small fortune or a lifetime of happy memories so well worth the work no doubt about it. I kindly ask that if you intend to just offer me scrap money or ask me to break her please save us both the stress and move on, thankyou. As i’m sure is obvious she will need a piggy back to her new home with not having an mot so her new owner would need to arrange this to suit their preferences, i believe there may be a few local options offering price per mile transport but of course google will tell you all your options. Cash on collection please in the good old fashioned way. You are most welcome to view by appointment before buying but please state if you are wanting to view or to buy (or to view with the intention of buying in one go) when you contact me, thankyou. I truely hope this beautiful lady finds the new home she deserves where she will be loved and used as she should be. I charged up her battery (which is in good nick) and tried her today – she didn’t actually fire but starter motor turned and lights work fine (so electrics all good), also no fuel or oil leaks so promising. I may drop by the local motor engineers on monday and ask if he’ll take a look to see if its just a quick fettling required and update if she then starts. Until then she is being sold as described above. Please note she is advertised on a sold as seen basis with no warantee implied for given and ifyou wish to view before buying then please arrange this before bidding as you are bidding to purchase not to come and have a look. I hope you understand this. here is a link to a photo album with about 100 pictures of her present condition, most recent MOT documents of pass for emissions and fail for MOT) and old photos from when the viking pop top roof was dismantled for virtual inspection as i’m limited to 12 on here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10155492640943733.1073741861.539798732&type=1&l=7a1c0872af Vital statistics/ useful info right hand drivemanual transmission (cable clutch)recon 1.6 l engine she was born in 1975she is tax free (need to apply for exemption at post office next time she passes an MOT test and is then due to be taxed)her tipple is petrolshe has a viking pop top roof (all complete but dismantled ready for her restoration but gas struts need replacing due to age as expected)she is a late bayshe is an aircooled girlshe has a nice vw spare wheel cover and spare wheel of courseshes had a new starter motorshes had a new ignition barrel which comes with 2 keysshes had a new ignition coilshe had a full oil and filter change before being storedshe has her original front seats with seat beltsshe had a new passenger side lock fitted which comes with 2 copies of keysshe has a vent in place already for a 3 way fridge she has very handy velux tilting windows above where the kitchen would be for cooking ventilation whilst being more secure than a slidershe is 2 tone white and deep red in her colouring at presentshe has a fold down buddy seat behind the passenger seatshe comes with a haynes manualshe also comes with a restoration handbookall locks present work and have keysI have a ring binder with all of the paperwork i have for her and some of my interior plans to get you started spare paint that came with her (useful for colour matching if you wish)she has the 240v hook up connection points through her body ready for you to insert your own wiring set up
