Vw 1969 bay window camper.

….I have owned this vehicle now for around 4 years. It breaks my heart to let it go, but it just isn’t getting the use it deserves. I have lost my storage too and it would be wrong to let it sit outside. The previous owner to me has spent literally thousands on it and I have a vast array of receipts and history, dating back to the mid 1970’s to go with this. I also have a CD with over 400 pictures of the restoration that has been done. The interior is completely stock, barring the new front seat covers. It has the original “Easicool” fridge and the two hammocks that foldaway, so you can stand up when not in use. There is an awning rail on the side of the van, to attachan awning if required. The engine has been upgraded to a 2017cc and this has taken me from home (Co. Durham) to Devon, towing a westfalia caravan too! It performed flawlessly. There is an external oil cooler fitted between the chassis rails, with a thermostatically controlled fan, which i have never heard run as the oil has never got hot enough. I have an extensive list of the specs, but just in short it has twin 36 dellorto jetted for 2017cc, gene berg linkage. The crank, flywheel and pulley have been dynamically balanced at John Sleath racing at Doncaster. It is running a c35 cam, with chromolly pushrods and jaycee tubes. It has an SVDA Bosch distributor. The case has been clearance for extra breathing, which is linked back to each carb. There is a firetec extinguisher fitted if ever there was a fire in the engine compartment. The exhaust is a vintage speed and has a refurbed set of original heat exchangers fitted. I have carried out a “bob hoover hvx modd” to the cam followers that give oil to the heads 100% of the time. The case has been drilled to allow oil to all the cam journals too, and there is an extra deep sump fitted. There is a jvc head unit fitted with Bluetooth and it runs a pioneer 4 channel amp. The windscreen has twin heating elements fitted which are controlled on the dash. There are 2 heated seat pads in both front seats. There are new roof bellows fited to the poptop and the whole roof has has a vinyl covering to stop any leaks. There is a creative engineering 2″ narrowed front beam, with transporterhaus dropped spindles fitted. There are a pair of GAZ adjustable coilovers shocks fitted to help. The rear has been lowered a couple of notches, but I didn’t want to go any lower as I wanted the van useable. Finally there is an autocraft tow bar and electrics fitted, this is a quick release item, so you can remove it when not required. If you are unable to reach me by phone please leave a message and I will return your call, I live in an area with patchy reception! Any more questions please ask. Thank you.
