….Recent dry state U.S import 1969 early bay westy project. All duties paid. If you know your oats you will understand that clean and restored early bay’s are comanding £10k-£20k these days in particular westfalia models. This dry Texas bus has all its original westfalia features apart from the roof. This has been swapped for the desirable Riviera type that looks very similar to the westy roof but benefits from being a full double bed unlike the westy child bunks. The canvas itself isnt ripped, but the the zips need replacing and tidying up. It is missing it’s bumpers and is in need of general tidying. It has a 1600 engine that runs, drives, stops (well slows down) but like with all imports it needs mechanically going through. I’ts a good solid base vehicle for restoration or would make a nice rat-look as it apears to have its OG paint underneath all of its repaint. It has a solid chassis and a body that requires a few bits of rust/metal repairs but has nice solid metal to repair to, so makes far more economcal sense than buying a shiny on top rotten underneath UK van. There is damage to the nearside door, front panel, both rear lower corners engine lid and tailgate though it does have straight sides. It’s honest and what you see is what you get.
