….For sale is my 1976 bay window camper in beautiful condition. It is a rot free bus and the underside is as clean as the top. The interior is basic and comprises a brand new full width rock and roll bed with brand new foam and upholstery. The van has also been fitted with a brand new set of interior panels upholstered in ivory to match the bed cushions. I was going to fit a unit to house a cooker and sink but decided against in the end. This would not be a huge job to do if desired as camper kitchen units can be picked up relatively cheaply and are simple to fit. The body has recently had a respray and has had new rear arches, new sliding door inner and outer repair panels, new inner and outer sills and the front arches were replaced just last year with genuine volkswagen replacements, these cost £150 per side just for the arch panel (not the cheap £50 ones that lots of people use that rust after 6 months). The body looks stunning now as the pictures show. The van has a good 1600 aircooled engine which has been reconditioned and has been converted to run on unleaded with new cylinder heads fitted. It has no oil leaks and runs and drives very nicely. The van also has a tow bar fitted should you want to tow a trailer for added space. The van comes with twelve months MOT but needs tax. It really is a beautiful example and is ready to go. I have owned the van for only a few months and i am selling it due to a business venture which is no longer a viable one in my current position. I know the previous owner very well and i know that he spent a lot of money on the van while he owned it. Bad bits of the van are the drivers seat has a rip which has been repaired which looks a little untidy, also the fuel gauge is sometimes a little temperamental. Van is located in the wirral ch43 area. All in all a great looking bus with 12 Months MOT at a very reasonable price with no Rot or bodywork to worry about. Ready for a summer of sun!
